Each member of the overall safety team, which includes executive management, operations management, worker, and safety personnel, has a role and responsibility to achieve the safe work environment each worker, and their family, deserves. That role starts with an understanding of the expectation of safety, which is the definition of The Right Way: if you cannot perform the task by following government regulation, company safety policy, or client safety requirement…whichever applies at the time…the work will not continue until you can.

The Right Way is not a compliance-based endeavor. It is a recognition of an organization’s obligation for safety, and the practical means to meet those requirements for the benefit of the worker.
